Every effort has been made to ensure that this tutorial is as user-friendly as possible. While prior experience in server administration is beneficial, the tutorial aims to simplify all steps so that anyone can transform an Asustor NAS into a customized home lab.

Knowing how to use ssh and vim is the easiest way to modify configuration files, but other ways are possible.

Otherwise, the user is expected to know how to restart a service on the NAS, and how to download/upload a file via the nas File Explorer.
